ES 350 vs TLX Performance Specs
Whether you choose the 2022 Lexus ES 350 or 2022 Acura TLX, you're getting a vehicle with a smooth ride and tons of power under the hood.
We'll start with the ES 350, which comes standard with a 3.5L V6 engine. Producing 302 horsepower, you can bet that you'll be able to zip down the road in no time at all!
Even with all that power, the Lexus produces an impressive fuel economy rating. Thanks to an EPA-estimated 22 city/32 highway MPG, you can forgo frequent gas station stops and simply enjoy the ride!*
Unfortunately, the TLX can't keep up in terms of power or efficiency. The vehicle comes standard with a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine that produces just 272 horsepower. This car does achieve an EPA-estimated 22 city/31 highway MPG. However, if your commutes are more on the freeway, you may find yourself needing to stop more to refuel.
Lexus ES 350 vs Acura TLX Interior Space
With the 2022 ES 350 and 2022 TLX being midsize sedans, you can bet that there's lots of interior room.
This is especially true when considering the Lexus model, which offers up to 37.6 inches of front headroom and 37.8 inches of rear headroom. These measurements come with the available panorama glass roof, which allows even more light into the cabin than traditional moonroofs.
Meanwhile, the Acura doesn't offer a panorama glass roof. Subsequently, its headroom measurements are on the shorter side, at just 37.2 inches up front and 36.3 inches in the back.
Furthermore, it's nice to have a vehicle with lots of trunk space for groceries or gear for the Lubbock Water Ramage. In this case, the ES 350 bests the TLX again. The Lexus offers 13.9 cubic feet of cargo room, while the Acura has 13.5 cubic feet. That small difference can be huge when it comes time to load everything into your car!
Features Inside the Lexus vs Acura
When riding around in the Lexus ES 350 or Acura TLX, you want to make sure you're comfortable at all times. It's also nice to stay connected and entertained when going on your various excursions. Thankfully, both these automobiles provide the features needed to accomplish these goals.
The ES 350 comes standard with perforated NuLuxe® seating, which feels like leather but is easier to clean. The perforation is especially nice to have on those hot, sticky summer mornings.
The TLX comes standard with a similar leatherette material. However, you won't find perforated seats until the higher trim levels.
The Lexus and Acura do offer many of the same technologies, such as:
- Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ smartphone integration
- Navigation system
- Wireless phone charger
If you want navigation or a wireless charger in the ES 350 base trim, you can get them through packages or standalone options. Plus, the screen for the infotainment system is available in 12.3 inches to ensure clear readability.
In comparison, the infotainment screen in the TLX is just 10.2 inches. Plus, to get navigation or a wireless phone charger, you'll have to upgrade to a higher trim level.
