This car is super fun! Handles corners awesome. Lots of power, slightly expensive but not too crazy. I feel like I would buy this car again but I would like the IS500 version in the future for a bit more power. - 5.0

I have owned the 2022 IS 500 for a little over a year and the amazement continues. Not only is this the perfect sleeper, it literally has a dual (Jekyll & Hyde) personality! Just looking to putz around town and hear the low rumble of the V8? Leave the car in its default Normal mode. Wish to be spirited and engage into some shenanigans? Click it over into Sport S+. Recommendations - 1. Do not waste your time with Normal mode, at least click the transmission into Sport S. The transmission will respond a little faster, yet you will get the same fuel economy as Normal, because the car will use all 8 gears. From my experience, the IS 500 is roughly 2 - 3 mpg less than the IS 350 in gas mileage numbers, which is pretty darn good for a 471hp V8! 2. For spirited driving (After the 621 miles / 1000 km break-in period), click the car into Sport S+ and Manual mode. Yes the fuel economy is terrible, but this mode wakes the car up. First and foremost this is a Lexus, so it is designed with comfort in mind....first. Drive it in Sport S+ and Manual and you will see the power of Mr. Hyde. :-) 3. Get rid of the OEM Bridgestones AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! If you lean towards spirited driving, these are terrible tires. I upgraded to the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S brand and it is a different driving experience. 4. Many YouTube reviewers initially trashed the car, but several have since re-reviewed it and have done a complete 180. The tech is old and the interior has been around since 2014, but everything WORKS and is well-made. In my opinion, that is all that matters. Get this car, it's worth every penny! - 5.0

Overall a very nice sporty luxury car. Happy with my purchase. The weak link is the transmission in normal or eco mode. In Sport mode it responds better. Next car might have to be a manual. But this is a great car.
